*** THIS IS NOT AN OPEN MIC! ***
*** NO OPEN MIC THIS MONTH! ***

Acts confirmed to preview their Brighton Fringe shows and performances so far are:

Alpha Mums Gone Wrong – Alpha Mums On Tour:
Joann Condon, Ayshea Bravo and Leonie Rachel are sketch trio Alpha Mums Gone Wrong! Instead of putting a wash on or doing the kids’ bed-time, they’re down the pub performing sketch shows; taking the micky out of modern life and fuelling their frustrations into funnies.

Annabelszki – Professional Breakup Artist:
“A refreshing take on being a lesbian… Using original comedy and poetry to tantalise and shock everyone into hysterical fits of laughter”
– Remote Goat

Pete Strong – Shame:
Poet & comedian Pete Strong explores the history of shame: his own, the shame of being a man, and simply the shame of being alive.
Surreal and moving poetry, cathartic jokes, sidesplitting laughs: join Pete as he lays his own idiocy and embarrassment bare.

“Cathartically funny material…walking a fine emotional line with an assured step that ensures the laughs from the right places” – Chortle

Yes Mama Comedy – Obitchuary:
In 2017, they won the Brighton Fringe Audience Choice Award. In 2018, they are dead…but as they always used to say “twas better to have lived and died than never to have lived at all”. (Sad reacts only plz).

Come celebrate the lives of Cara and Alex at OBITCHUARY, full of sketch and character comedy silliness. Black clothing and loud sobbing encouraged. Quiche provided.

Rebekka Turner – Rice Tits:
A cultural camp calamari of character stand up, at its most eccentric! Supported by The Pebble Trust Brighton Fringe Awards, ‘Rice T*ts’ is inspired by the drag queen trick of putting rice into tights to create fake boobs.

Ben Carter – How To Approach People and Make Friends:
Join local comedian Ben Carter as he desperately attempts to boost his social circle, whether dressed as the lonely front half of a pantomime camel or a lousy flat-earther. Expect music, energy and a whole load of new friends. NO MINGLING WHILST HE’S PERFORMING!

Karen Blott – Karen Blott’s Pick’n’Mix
