A workshop for women exploring how we can create and write comedy characters.

Come along to the Caroline of Brunswick on Saturday 28 October or Saturday 25 November from 12-4pm, learn how to mine for comedy material, put together a character and have fun while doing it!

The workshop is run by Jane Postlethwaite, who is a Cumbrian character comedian and writer.

She runs a successful comedy book night called Bad Book Project at the Blue Man in Brighton and a couple of comedy podcasts. She is a Funny Women Awards Finalist and Brighton Comedy Festival Squawker Award Finalist 2015.

Her solo character show was ‘Made in Cumbria’ was nominated for two Brighton Fringe awards of the Latest Comedy Award and for the Audience Choice Award.

‘Made in Cumbria’ debuted as her first ever Edinburgh Fringe in August 2016 with Sweet Venues. The show had sold out days and received great 4 & 5 star reviews. Her new character show is called, ‘The House.’

She also recently had a lovely comedy part in a BBC Radio 4 play called, ‘Almost like being in love’.
