A comedy workshop tailored for you to learn new skills, step out of your comfort zone, have a really good laugh and get motivated for a creative project.

This workshop is for anyone who identifies as a woman. If you have anxiety, depression or mental health issues the workshop is designed as a safe and supportive space so you can relax and have fun!

You don’t need any experience of comedy writing – just have a interest in comedy, writing and being creative. This is also a chance to network and meet new people with similar interests to you.

You will learn what makes something funny, how to mine your own life for comedy inspiration, try some improvisation, learn about story arcs and characters…and more! Plus – you will be able to buy drinks from the bar to calm any nerves.

The workshops are run by Jane Postlethwaite a multi-comedy award finalist who has had sell out runs of her one woman shows at Brighton and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals over the last few years. She has also been heard on Radio 4 and Radio Extra. You can find out more about Jane at www.jane-postlethwaite.com

During the workshop you will be able to ask Jane questions about the industry and have some 1-2-1 time to talk about any creative projects or get some advice for your own career.
