Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from the man who worked on the cases of some of the most notorious killers of our time.
Dr. Glenn Wilson is one of Britain’s most experienced Forensic Psychologists, helping to convict the Brighton Strangler and Rose West, and the acquittal of Colin Stagg, wrongfully accused of the Wimbledon Common Murder.
Killers drape their personality and mannerisms all over their crime scenes the way we leave our clothes on the floor. This is how a forensic psychologist can scrape the minds behind the darkest atrocities.
In this fascinating Funzing Talk, Glenn will reveal some of the techniques which are used today in the hunt for clues in bringing killers to justice.
Glenn has been a scientific advisor and expert commentator for several TV series, such as Vic Reeves Investigates, Jack the Ripper (ITV), Inside the Mind of a Serial Killer (Investigation Discovery) and Stalkers Who Kill (CBS Reality).
Doors: 7pm / Talk starts: 7.30pm.

SOLD OUT!
A reworking of Dicken’s classic story, performed by the regulars of the Caroline. Tounge in cheek (with some bad taste), expect bad language and drunkeness. It’s Tamateur Dramatics after all….
2-3pm in the Main Bar – free entertainment!
As any morally upstanding member of our community knows, the secret to a perfect Christmas party is in the preparation of the meat.
As such, the beast has been (in strictly this order) plucked, stuffed, roasted, and eventually killed.
The only remaining step…
…is for her to put on a show!
Indeed, Fuchsia Von Steel would really like to give you one for Christmas. It’s time for Sleep Paralysis: Volume XMAS! (We finally ran out of capitalisation allowance for roman numerals! For those who are interested, it’s our 28th show!)
Our first guest of the evening is the dreamy GEM DIVINE! A small brown clown who fell to this earth from a distant solitary planet. With a hat full of rhinestones and pockets full of balloons, Gem is on the search of emotional understanding. With her silly antics and glittery grin this whimsical weirdo will show you clowns do in fact need love too…
Also joining the lineup is the incomparable OEDIPUSSI REX! A Beardy drag Barbarian, with acts as inconsistent as the Gods themselves! Epic or Tragic? You decide!
And your charming hostess for the evening; the subject of beloved Christmas song “Grandma Got Ran Over By a Reindeer”, FUCHSIA VON STEEL!
Doors open at 7, show starts at 8
£6.50 // students £5 // carers FREE!
CASH ONLY!
Also, we have a tipping system in place so make sure you bring plenty of change for your Fuchsia Farthings!

Friday 20th December
Ho ho ho! Come and celebrate Christmas and host Dave Fensome’s birthday because he was selfish enough to be born on Christmas Eve! As is the norm there will be a stellar line up awaiting you, including headliner Sara Barron:
“These days, the market is pretty well saturated when it comes to memoir. Which means it has to be good; it has to be different. Sara Barron’s essays… are, dare we say it, as funny as David Sedaris’. When you aren’t squirming, you’re laughing out loud.”
– Los Angeles Times
“Sara Barron is the reigning queen of New York’s live storytelling scene.”
– Jon Ronson, author of The Psychopath Test
As always we have a great supporting line up of comedians including Joe Foster and Lenny Sherman. Hosting will be the birthday boy himself Dave Fensome. There may even be free cake and mince pies……
On the last Saturday of every month, we go a bit goth downstairs!
DJ Mendees, and occasional guests, playing all gothic rock, post-punk, alternative 80s hits and darkwave.
FREE ENTRY!
