SUMMARY:SHARON WANJOHI + EM HUMBLE
DESCRIPTION:Work-in-progress from two superb comedians!\nSHARON WANJOHI\nPleasance Reserve member and Funny Women Stage Award Finalist Sharon Wanjohi is a queer British Kenyan comedian, who’s been making waves on the circuit with her take on the lack of Gen-z homeowners and maybe too much material on the cartoons that inspired a generation of sexual awakenings.\nSharon is an alumna of the 2024 Pleasance Reserve and is making her debut at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe with ‘In The House’. As a prolific writer, Sharon has written for acclaimed television series including Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Late Night Lycett, and the Jonathan Ross Show. As seen on Comedy Central Live, Wanjohi has also provided tour support for Jessica Fostekew and Sarah Keyworth.\nEM HUMBLE\nBFI Short Film Fund recipient, Em Humble is a Northern writer-director-performer celebrated for her surreal, character-led humour.\nShe won a 2023 BFI Short Film Fund grant for her tragicomic short Chicken Girl—a festival darling that scooped awards for Best British Short, Best Leading Performance, and Best Comedy across multiple international festivals . Her online sketches have racked up over 350 million views online, featured by Hat Trick Productions, Pulped with Bits, and BBC Radio Manchester, Cumbria, and Tees.\nEm’s work spans screen, stage and sound, including voicing multiple characters in the indie game Thank Goodness You’re Here!, for which she was longlisted for the 2024 BAFTA Games Awards.\nKnown for her sharp Northern wit, inventive visuals, and heartfelt absurdism, Em continues to write, direct, and perform across film, radio, digital and stage—solidifying her status as a leading multimedia comedy talent.\nDoors 7:30pm / Show 7:45pm\nAdvance tickets £9 + booking fee (£12.50 on the door)\n\n
