ON THE EDGE: ADAM RILEY
This month sees the return of one of our very favourite acts, our headliner Adam Riley! Adam is a deadpan redhead who performs at comedy clubs like The Comedy Store, Up The Creek and Top Secret. He was part of AAA Stand-up Edinburgh Fringe 2019 and was Chortle Comedian to Watch 2017. We’re huge fans of his gently delivered hilarious dark material and we’re sure you will be too!
We also have the fantastic award winning performance artist Victoria Melody, whose upcoming Brighton Fringe shows have already sold out – this is your chance to catch her! Victoria has performed nationally and internationally at the likes of the V&A Museum, Soho Theatre, Cherry Lane Theatre (New York) and at arts festivals all over the world including the US, Canada and Australia.
“Smart, warm and unpretentiously funny” – The Times
We also have the much-demanded return of last August’s Edge headliner, the wonderful Sam Savage. Sam is a multiple award-winning comic who has been delighting audiences all over the land as herself and her comic creation, philosophical Essex housewife Linda Larkin
“She writes proper jokes” – Jenny Eclair
Graeme Collard is a Brighton comedy fixture and regularly performs at pro gigs up and down the country. His easygoing delivery matched with sharp gags have seen him rise through the ranks of the comedy circuit. He thinks he looks more like Karl Pilkington than Matt Hancock, but he would say that, wouldn’t he?
“Graeme Collard is very, very, very funny” – Joe Wilkinson
We also have brilliant rising newbies Martha Casey and Tim Woodbridge, and all expertly compered by returning special guest MC Dave Fensome, founder of On The Edge, who has since gone on to be a big part of Stephen Grant’s amazing new Forge Comedy Club here in Brighton. “A brilliant comic mind” – Sean McLoughlin
