LANGUAGE OF SHAPES + SUPPORT

Connect with the unique sounds and transformative vibes of three local acts playing selections of their original music in the intimate setting of Caroline of Brunswick:

Language of Shapes
Language of Shapes is a psychedelic folk-rock band formed on the coast of South Korea 2010 and rooted in Brighton, England, since late 2019 as a duo of Tristram Burden (vocals, octave mandolin) and J.E. Seuk (vocals, mandolin and flute).

Formed through a mutual love of Leonard Cohen and mandolins, they blend folk instrumentation and rich layers of effects to create a sound that critics describe as both cinematic and deeply organic: a world where shimmering folk instrumentation collides with psychedelia, abstract lyricism, and a sense of mythic storytelling.

“Some of the boldest and most innovative music we’ve heard in a long time.” Diffuser.fm

“this band has a sound that vibrates with color and elevates notes to the realm of the surreal” Surf Rock Music

“…they remind me of the science fiction of Hawkwind matched with this rock style that sounds like absolutely no one I can think of.” Audio Fuzz

“Language of Shapes has to be heard….With many sounds being experimented with these days it’s hard to stand out. Language of Shapes has no problems with that, their sound is intoxicating.” The Fire Note

Gabriella Frances
Gabriella Frances is a Brighton-based singer-songwriter crafting intuitive, dreamy, ethereal alt-folk. Inspired by the traditions of devotional music, her songs are rooted in the rhythms of the natural world and explore existential themes of impermanence, awakening and the nature of reality.

“Her songs are delightfully dreamy and rich with gorgeous melodies and chords. When Gabriella performs there is a change in the room”

“We heard Gabriella sing and play at the last Brighton Kollab and it was beautiful, soothing and dreamy.”

Dusk
Dusk, an Italian-born guitarist and singer now based in Brighton, shapes intricate fingerpicked melodies into honest reflections of love and the human heart. His guitar and voice entwine to carry stories of longing and belonging, offering moments of quiet truth and connection.?
